Your treatment plan follows directly from those findings. Depending on the wound, that may mean debridement to clear non-viable tissue, a dressing matched to the wound’s moisture level and healing stage, graduated compression for venous disease, offloading and repositioning for pressure wounds, antimicrobial dressings when bacterial burden is holding progress back, or advanced biologic products for wounds that have not responded to standard care. We revise the plan as the wound changes rather than leaving it in place out of habit.
